Psalm 25:3:  No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame…

As we focus our eyes on God, leaning on Him for our source of significance and help, we face times of doubt.  Are we really hearing God’s voice of direction?  Is this really what my priority should be?  In these moments we should meditate on the character of God and find comfort.

God is not a Mighty Being playing cat and mouse with humanity.  He wants us to find true success in Him.  If we are heading in the wrong direction, as a good Father He will lovingly guide us back into the right path.  We can place our hope in Him with complete confidence knowing that as we humbly listen and follow His voice, we will never be put to shame in His eyes.  Does this mean everything will be easy?  No, but as we follow His plan, everything will be right.

Psalms 25:9:  He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His ways.

Lord, I come humbly before you today asking you to guide me, to teach me.  Your ways are perfection.  Your plans for me are right and good.   Thank you for promising to direct me in the ways I should go.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Psalms 145:17: The Lord is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made.

We pursue our goals and dreams with passion, but sometimes we get so caught up in the pursuit we lose track of our purpose.  Maybe we don’t really intend to be self focused and ignore God’s plan. We simply don’t take the time to stop and consider whether our direction is also God’s direction.  In moments of clarity, it is good to know that God is perfect and He cares for us deeply.  His actions towards us are always loving.  Take a moment today to stop and consider the direction you are going.  Place yourself in God’s hands confident that His ways are loving and right!

Matthew 10:29-31

Matthew 10:29-31:  Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Sometimes we buy into a terrible lie that we are worthless and not of significance to anyone, let alone God.  This passage, a quote from Jesus Christ, encourages us to instead listen to Truth.  God created us, He cares for us so deeply that He even knows the number of hairs on our head.  We are of great worth to Him.  Embrace your significance in Christ Jesus today and turn your back on the lies of the evil one.

Revelation 3:5

Rev 3: 5-  Those who overcome will also be dressed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. I will speak of them by name to my Father and his angels.

There comes a time when we have to decide within ourselves where we will look for significance.  Will we turn to significance found in this world, seeing our name on the corner office door, or with lots of letters following it, or with a new title?  Or will our significance come from a  relationship with Jesus Christ who promises to speak aloud our name to the Father Himself and the angelic beings in heaven?
