This devotional thought comes out of an Our Story found at Given the Time.

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

No it isn’t easy.  But forgiveness is worth it!

Father, give us the strength and purpose to follow Your example of forgiveness in our own lives.  We didn’t deserve Your mercy and grace, and yet You give it freely.  We commit to do the same.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

Forgiveness is never easy…it doesn’t come naturally to us.  But we can come to the Father in prayer and seek His perspective on forgiveness.
