Resurrection Power, the power of the Cross, is available to each of us through acceptance of Jesus Christ’s personal invitation for a relationship with Him. This power is possible because of His sacrificial love. Do you know that power? Jesus Christ offers each of us the same power that raised Him from the grave. We have the right to tap into that power—“But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name. (John 1:12 KJV).
Power to help you is available right now through that relationship with God. Perhaps you need the Resurrection Power of His grace to help you overcome a habit or addiction that has you feeling trapped. Perhaps you are staggering under the burden of depression. Maybe you need His Resurrection Power to turn around a relationship. Everyday you are alive, Jesus Christ is available to offer you the Power to embrace His love and transform your life.
Put your hope in a vibrant intimate relationship with Jesus. Rely on Him. Surrender your agenda and your will to His resurrection power in your life and you will experience all of the blessings God has for you. Focus on seeing others as God sees them, which will help you maintain the purpose and priorities God has for you.
Resurrection is preceded by death. Does your agenda conflict with God’s purposes for your life as mine so often does? 2011 is a year of new beginnings —to crucify your selfish attitudes and behaviors, so God will raise you to new life by transforming your attitudes and behaviors into healthy ones that will help you grow to be more like Jesus. Physically we are born and live until we die, but spiritually, we are dead until we enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and accept as our own His Resurrection Power.
Lord Jesus, thank you for taking my place on the Cross. Thank you for giving me this chance to start fresh with a clean slate. Show me how to live today that I live with your purposes in mind. Take my agenda and replace it with your plan. Your Power Lord—fill me, that I might have the courage and strength to go forth to complete those purposes. Amen.
